Cisco released their latest version of Prime Infrastructure (PI) recently with version 2.2.1.
Offering support for Identity Services Engine (ISE) 1.3, IOS XE 3.7 and AireOS 8.x.
There are some long awaited features available such as Layer 2 Network Topology Mapping, User Interface and Map Performance improvements, Intelligent WAN (IWAN) Provisioning, and Tech Packs which deliver new features without waiting long periods for minor and major version upgrades.
A full list of the updates and roadmap can be read here:
All this sounds great and you’re thinking –
“Let’s upgrade our Prime now!”
Sadly there is no direct in-place upgrade available due to the core OS platform version and the choice for internally or externally hosted database configurations.
